Lisa has been a Teaching Artist with the Wolf Trap Institute of Early Learning Through the Arts, and Young Audiences of Maryland/A4L since 2013, providing classroom residencies in music and creative drama in Maryland, DC and Virginia schools. She has worked with early childhood educators in Head Start, pre-k and kindergarten classrooms. She is also an accredited artist with the Maryland State Arts Council.

 

Lisa created and implemented Learning Journies for the Baltimore City Schools and Enoch Pratt Library system for the 2016 and 2017 school years. She has also been a Teaching Artist for Baltimore City’s SummerREADS Program for kids, and has worked with the Summer Arts For Learning Academy in Baltimore City schools in 2017 - 2019. After graduating from the Teaching Artist Institute, Lisa created an original residency “Music is All Around Us!” using the musicality of nature to encourage mindful listening and music-making. Besides working in classrooms, Lisa and her musical partner Mikel Gehl perform assemblies as the Milkshake Duo.
